Mike Brooks

Radio morning show host, Mike Brooks from US 98.3 FM, brings with him over thirty-five years of broadcasting expertise in both radio and television. His world centers around his love for music. Not only does he host a very popular Radio Morning Show on US98.3 FM, but he is also the lead vocalist and co-owner of the Konnection band, a North Carolina regional variety band.

In the past, Mike hosted a popular syndicated country music video television show, Country Spotlight, that was syndicated on 13 TV stations across North Carolina and Virginia.

Mike has owned and operated a mobile DJ business for over 40 years and has played all over the East Coast and beyond.

Mike has had the pleasure of being the emcee for many local, regional, and national events (including the host for Country Crusin’, The NC Seafood Festival, The NC Hot Sauce Festival, The Virginia Pork Festival, The Beach Music Cruise, and more).

 Mike looks forward to being the MC/DJ for the 2026 Virginia Cantaloupe Festival in South Boston and he invites you to join him!.
